This recipe was a simple way for me to incorporate tons of immunity boosting foods into my diet when I was feeling a little under the weather.
- Bone broth
- celery leaves
- butternut squash
- himalayan pink sea salt
- First, create bone broth from chicken bone that would normally be waste. Do this by placing leftover chicken bones into a crockpot, letting them simmer overnight with fresh ginger. In the morning strain out the bones and place the broth back into the crockpot!
- Next, add in chopped kale, butternut squash, chopped onions, celery leaves, tons of turmeric, and a little sea salt. Let this simmer all day
- When you are ready to eat, cook your chicken stove top with some ghee and garlic. I like to let the ghee and garlic cook a little first before adding the chicken and sprinkling with some salt. Then add this into your stock for a thick and hearty soup! You can skip this step and simply add the chicken raw into the stock with the vegetables to cook all day.
Note that these are the ingredients that I had on hand, so I just threw these in there. Use whatever seasonal ingredients you have available to you!
